Rental Car Terms and Conditions
DRIVER'S LICENCE
All drivers should hold a valid driver's licence. A current acceptable overseas, New Zealand or International licence is required from all intending drivers. At the Manager's discretion, a holder of a licence for less than five years is acceptable but may incur a higher insurance excess.
RENTAL DURATION
24 hours from time of pick up. Additional hours are costed at 1/5 of the daily rate up to five hours and a full day thereafter. Payment is to be made at commencment of rental by either cash, travellers' cheques or credit card.
TAX
Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 12.5% is included in all daily rental prices.
INSURANCE
All of our cars have full, standard insurance cover included in the daily rate. The excess on the insurance is NZ$1000.00 for drivers aged 21 years and over.
A single vehicle accident or vehicle theft carries an excess of NZ$2500.00.
We will authorise $1000 on the credit card provided. If a you opt for CDW insurance, no money will be authorised.
You can reduce the excess by paying a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) as follows: (These options are not available for
drivers 18 - 20 years of age). Should you opt for the CDW insurance, we will also waive the NZ$1 per day per additional driver charge.

BOND
A bond is required for all rentals. You will be asked to sign a separate security bond in the form of a Credit Card imprint, or give a cash deposit. This bond is held by ACE RENTALS and is not banked. It is our guarantee that the vehicle will be returned on time and in the condition that it was rentald.
EARLY RETURNS
The daily rate on any discounted or special rentals may be recalculated at rack rates.
ONE WAY HIRES
Available between all branches, minimum rental days apply. Repositioning fees may apply.
CHILD AND BABY SEATS
Child seats are now compulsory on New Zealand roads
(under 5) and may be rentald from our branches. Please
order at time of reservation stating age of child so
correct size may be booked.
All Child Seats are Subject to Availability.
