Rental Car Itinerary - Four Days in the Central North Island

Day One:

Auckland to Waitomo Caves;

Features: Caves, glow worms and adventure trips.

Day Two

Waitomo Caves to Rotorua

Features: Waterfalls, hydro dams, Buried village, Lakeland district, Volcano's, traditional Maori hangi and concert, oodles and oodles of fantastic tourist attractions and adventure activities including white water rafting, sledging and the world famous Zorb.

Day Three

Rotorua to Taupo

Features: Whakarewarewa, Waiotapu, Waimangu , Boiling mud pools, steaming cauldrons, erupting geysers, volcanic lakes, hot water streams, silica terraces, jet boats, Huka falls, bungy jumping, skydiving, thermal baths, Volcanoes.

Day Four

Taupo to Auckland or Wellington

Features: Volcanoes, Tongariro National Park, great bushwalks.
